Mariah Larkin,
Ph.D., practicing psychotherapist for 25 years, is the West
Coast expert on Music Imagery Therapy. She is an MIT Continuing
Education Instructor and has been teaching therapists how to
incorporate this modality into their private practice casework
since 2003.
Prior to that, she was a supervisor
at John F Kennedy University Transpersonal Center, (1996-2000),
Marina Counseling Center (1993-1999), St. Mary's Hospital Chemical
Dependency Unit, (1990-1992) and California Institute of Integral
Studies Counseling Center (1985-1987). Dr. Larkin received a BA
in Psychology, MA from New York University (1984) and Ph.D. from
California Institute of Integral Studies (1989).
Her psychological orientations
draw from both Western and Eastern influences, including Psychodynamic,
Jungian, Mindfulness and Expressive Arts. Mariah is also part
time professional musician and has composed and produced two CDs.
